RUN FOR THE JACK & JILL FOUNDATION
The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation is an Irish children’s charity which provides home nursing care to children up to the age of 4 throughout Ireland who are born with or develop brain damage and who suffer from severe physical and neurological delay.
Over the past 15 years Jack and Jill has supported 1,500 families nationwide with this vital lifeline that includes home visits and care, funding, advice, information, lobbying and bereavement support. The “Gift of Time” is how parents describe it - time to do the normal things like sleeping, shopping, meeting friends, or taking their other children to the park – with the peace of mind that their sick child is being well cared for at home. Jack & Jill requires €2.7 million per annum to operate this service and, with less than 20% coming from the State, the Foundation relies on mobile phone recycling, public donations and fundraisers like this to survive.

BABY MAX WINGS OF LOVE FUND
BABY MAX WINGS OF LOVE FUND was founded by Darina & Declan following the tragic death of their son Max, 10 years ago to Meningitis B & Meningicoccal Septicaemia.
The first goal of the fund was to purchase a badly needed 'HAEMOFILTRATION MACHINE' for Temple Street Children's Hospital that they did not have at the time and had to borrow from another hospital. They were delighted to accomplish this through hard work, dedication and the support of many people.
Darina & Declan decided to take things a step further and make contact with all the Dublin Children's Hospitals & Paediatric Units nationwide as to what vital medical equipment they were missing. As a result of these actions, the BABY MAX WINGS OF LOVE FUND has to date purchased in excess of €1million worth of all types of necessary medical equipment.
In memory of Max and to help and save the lives of other children and avoid parents the painful loss they have suffered, Darina & Declan continue to purchase vital medical equipment for Hospitals / Hospices and Paediatric Units nationwide.
To date, hundreds of children's lives have been helped and saved by the BABY MAX WINGS OF LOVE FUND - www.babymax.ie
